Excellent Pub - brilliant atmosphere with friendly and welcoming hosts/staff. Tuesdays quiz is not to be missed! Great range of beers and Ciders too!!

A nice black framed, white rendered, detached corner pub, with beer garden. Serves Theakston's beer. The interior is open plan and has a traditional look, with beams and brick, lots of memorabilia, books, ornaments old pictures etc on the walls. The music was subdued easy listening stuff, the service was very friendly and the clientele mid to mature! They did food but we did not eat on this occasion. Beer; tap stuff, with Theakston's Dark Smooth MILD (fine). Handpulls saw Pedigree, with Theakston's MILD (class) and Old Peculier (class). A sheer delight to visit and will be returning here

The pub (formerly the Cavalry Arms) has been taken over by Wye Valley Brewery who have provided much-needed TLC. The pub was renamed after The Morgan at Linktop was sold w/out anyone else having a chance of making a go of it. This house has undergone a refit inside and out. The beers are excellent and the place is much more welcoming than in the past. Besides many photos of Morgan cars, the pub also has a bar billiards table - now that's something not seen very often nowadays! The street entrance has a massive set of iron gates proudly announcing the pub's name. The Morgan connection is strong in that the car company's founder hailed from Stoke Lacey, the home village of WVB. Morgan celebrated its centenary in 2009.
