The Old Market Hall (JD Wetherspoon), Mexborough

The Old Market Hall is a large looking Spoons that is situated at the end of the high street opposite the Montagu Arms. Once inside there were two small areas either side of the entrance,the main room is up a few steps,this is a large oblong shaped room with the bar running down the right side,there were tall tables and chairs near the bar and lots of normal tables and chairs elsewhere. The room is divided up by useing book cases,i dont think this worked that well. There is a small outside terrace which overlooks a car park. There were two banks of five pumps but quite a few had waiting signs on them,i had a drink of Geeves Clear Cut which was a nice refreshing beer,the other beers i noted were one from Phoenix brewery,Adnams Broadside,Hobgoblin and Abbot. I have been in lots of better Spoons than this one. Pub visited 6/7/2013
