Saturday was the first time I had been in here since 1999, so not surprisingly the name had changed from Finnegan's Wake and the pub had been refurbished. It seemed a little disjointed with a gastro feel at the front and a pool table with boisterous locals at the back. It was pretty busy due to a show at the Apollo, but the lack of seating due to the oversized sofas taking up most of the floor space did make it look packed. It took a while to get served each time I went to the bar due to till rolls running out, staff phoning cabs for punters and the locals blocking the bar. I think that if I was in the area again I would try to find another pub to drink in.
