Inn On The Green, Horfield, Bristol

Originally The Royal George, the pub is well described below. Ales on were Jail Ale, Abbott. Bristol Beer Factory’s Milk Stout, Tribute and Wall Climb from Prescott. Thales were in good condition and were served by friendly, efficient staff. Sadly the locals were less welcoming and there was an underlying atmosphere that made the pub less comfortable than it could have been. Other drinks on offer were 9 craft beers plus 7 megakegs, including 3 ciders. Worth dropping in for a pint in passing, but I don’t foresee an evening’s enjoyment here.

The Inn on the Green is a very long fronted pub which i this is pretty much on the edge of the City of Bristol boundarys. Once inside there is an irregular shaped room which runs the width of the pub,the floor is part tiled and bare boarded,there is a mix of seating types,with pew seating,settees and normal tables and chairs. There is a vast array of hand pumps on the bar which surprised me,i had adrink of Prescott Hill Climb which went down well,i noted a few of the beers on the bar as there were too many,the other beers noted were Butcombe bitter,plus beers from Elgoods,Beer Factory,Wadworths,plus many more. Board games were available and background music was playing. Pub visited 2/4/2016
