The Lost Dene, Manchester

The Lost Dene is a large high street pub with a bar counter on the right wall that faces high tables in the centre of the pub. There are a couple of raised seating areas and some booths are found at the front near the entrance. Televisions are located throughout for showing live sports. During a recent Tuesday evening visit these were muted in favour of some very loud music. Premium keg is available alongside Carling and I counted five hand pumps, one of which was in operation. Shepherd Neame’s Spitfire was the lone cask option. Food is available, the burgers start at £10. The service was very friendly, but this is a ten-a-penny high street chain pub so I wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit.

A large modern chain pub with multiple sports TVs. Nothing very different from many others but not unpleasant for a pint or two. Five ales available on handpump and seemed in fair condition (Cask Marque accreditation).
