The Sir Timothy Shelley (JD Wetherspoon), Worthing

Narrow Wetherspoons pub on Worthing's main High Street. Ten hand pumps dispensed a mix of 'Spoons regulars and guest ales. I had a good pint of Burton Bridge Bitter (£2.05) in here before settling down to watch the Holland vs. Slovakia world Cup match which was being shown on two screens towards the back of the pub. The room is decorated in quite a modern fashion, dissimilar to many of the standard Wetherspoons interiors seen nationwide. There were a number of modern art style prints on the walls, and some of the windows were made to look like ships port-holes. Additionally, there was a very nice sky-lit side room which had a bit of a conservatory feel to it and gave the rest of the pub some much needed light. The place was all but empty at 4pm on a sunny Monday afternoon with many more drinkers choosing the other Wetherspoons pub on the opposite side of the road, but my first impressions were that this was the nicer of the two.
