Church View Inn, Farnworth, Widnes

May 2014. Driven past this pub many times but never actually visited. Put that right recently and was very impressed with the way the evening went. arrived just before 6pm for a drink and a meal. usual aspect of find a seat, record table number and order at the station. Staff were very pleasant and the food delivered quite quickly considering the pub was quite full. Menu is typical chain type of fayre but that is what we were looking for and so pleased. Food was well cooked and decent portions (so much so we had no room for desert). My wife had the Salmon which was nice and I had the steak and eggs wihich was properly cooked. Only complaint, if any, was that my daughter's sausage and mash had too much mash for the amount of gravy. So all in all an excellent experience and a pub we will visit again.
