A very handy hotel bar serving two well kept Wold Top ales. We tried The Wold Top Spring Fling and the Wold Gold and other customers were also making a beeline for them. The central bar area was plush and very comfortable and had an upbeat sort of atmosphere. The space consisted of a high ceiling painted in bronze, with lots of small square glass skylights. Large orange coloured lampshades hung from the ceiling in a bank of sixteen. The main columns were also painted in a bonze colour. Well worth a visit as it has a lot going for it.

My regular stopover hotel when working in Hull. Some of the rooms are quite basic, but they're slowly updating them all to a good standard. It used to be a lucky dip, but when you've stayed a few times you get to know which rooms to ask for. The bar is a grand affair and is part of the hotel reception and lobby. Lots of deep leather sofa's and ornate decor. There's direct access from the station as well. Sadly the choice on the bar is very limited. Worthingtons Smooth, mainstream lager or Guinness. Needless to say I don't drink in here very often unless I'm waiting for someone else.

Has been taken over by mercure hotels. The public bar of the hotel has direct access to hull train station. Standard draught selection and very handy for the platforms.

Undergoing a renovation at the moment, looks like it will be more of a restaurant than a pub. Update: Now open and has changed it's name to The Stonhouse. Sells Real Ale. Just paid another visit, everything seemed ok, until one of the staff wearing an apron went past. He was wearing tatty jeans with rips in them, showing off his boxer shorts. Hate to think he was the chef, even if he was just a waiter, I wouldn't like him handling my plates. Have dropped my rating.

Sorry I beat that stay 18 months a haunted tired hotel where silver service should be top they try bless em.Bar meals good beer expensive was the place too stay in Victoria's day and the place too have one for train journey home.Most of its splendor was lost when like the Ye Old White Hart burnt down.However dont be put off by this stay there as your base for your stag do or pubcrawl and enjoy the breakfast.
