The Duke of York, York

Uninspiring station bar ,soon to be outshone by The York Tap.The interior is full of functional furniture and a constantly changing array of customers popping in for a quick one.No attempt is made to create any interesting features ,and this extends to the ale choice with GK IPA,Old Speckled Hen and a third pump reversed.A lounge rather than a bar and not cheap either,so I am most unlikely to use this place once The Tap is open.

This is a station bar but also has an entrance outside the station. It is only worth going in here if your waiting for a train and want a drink of beer there was only one real ale on and this was Davenports bitter which was'nt that good.

Fine for a last pint before settting off by train, Highgate Davenports Bitter on hand pull.
