This is a thin Irish pub with a pool table at the front and a projector screen on the back wall to supplement the two flat screen TVs in the centre of the bar when the football is on Sky Sports. There was no sport on during my visit last Monday evening so a documentary about American drug addicts was being shown with the volume turned right up, which I thought a little odd, but four of the five locals in the bar were engrossed in the programme. Thankfully I could escape out the back door and enjoy my Guinness on one of the two picnic tables in the small enclosed smoking area. There is a basic food menu and although there is no real ale there is a decent standard draught range. There are some advertisements for live music at weekends from 21:00 until late and there is also a jukebox at the rear of the pub. I found the barman to be polite, but I’m not sure that I would make a point of visiting here again.
