The Gunners, Highbury, N5

Having a soft spot for Arsenal I was looking forward to having a look around this pub at the famous memorabilia and I wasn't disappointed as there are all sorts on display. Unfortunately the pub itself has as much character as the bog standard lagers it churns out and there seems to be little interest from the local inhabitants. There are a couple of pool tables in the back room and numerous plasma screens dotted about the pub which proudly states on the board outside that “if it's on we'll show it”, there obviously wasn't much interest in the Spanish match that was airing then. The barmaid was nice enough, but after exhausting the sights I decided to make haste. Good for football, but not a lot else.
