Just London Pride (£1.75 a half) on here, with a clip reversed on a second pump. The London Pride was drinkable. There was no sign of any food being available at Wednesday lunchtime. The ceiling has an interesting decorative feature in diagonal wooden panel surrounds, with floral themed motifs at the intersections. But they don't seem to be serving much purpose as the ceiling within them is painted matt white, like the rest of the ceiling. Anyway, it gave me something to ponder when I was sitting in here on my own. Furnishings are standard and very basic, having seen much better days. The windows are modern replacements featuring green banded, a la Charrington, leaded glazing. Maybe they are an attempt to replace the original Charrington windows? The walls are half-height wood panelled, but painted light grey like most surfaces in this pub. There was a TV on showing Sky Sports, competing with the music being played. Karaoke is advertised for the first Friday in the month. This is a plain and ordinary little pub with little charm. It's not one that I'll be rushing back to.
