The Queen Charlotte, Fitzrovia, W1

Was walking past this rather small one room corner pub when I too notice the plaque outside proclaiming its now ownership by Brewdog and thought I’d pop in to take a look. Largely unchanged layout from what I remember except that there are now comfortable padded bench seating at either end of the rectangular space and the addition of a wooden beer list boards above the bar which I don’t remember from a few years back, showing the ten craft beer options on the two banks of taps. For my visit alongside a couple of the standard Brewdog options (Punk IPA, Hazy Jane and Jagged Edge) there were guests from Siren, Brew by Numbers, Wild Beer and Drop Project The three ale pumps I remember are still there at the Charlotte Street end of the bar and two of these were in use dispensing Siren Broaken Dream Breakfast Stout and London Brewing Co London Lush Pale Ale with the third unbadged. The Broaken Dream is one of my favourite Siren Brews so good to find it in good condition. I thought this was an improvement from what I remember before but the focus is still clearly on Cask Keg options, but all in all not too bad.
