Dreadnought Hotel, Bathgate

The Old Chestnut Tree This pub has been taken over recently and the landlords are trying very hard to create the right atmosphere, they look after their real ales and have as standard Malvern Hills Black Pear. The pub is the classic old village pub, with even some very old cinema seats around the pool table! Outside the front of the pub is a cricket green which was being played on when we visited. We visited this pub on August bank holiday Monday 2009, not expecting much of the beer to be left from the beer festival, but they still had 10 ales on the go! Some great ones including Wyre piddles plum beer in celebration of the harvest of plums. Lower moor is within walking distance of Fladbury, and they happily quench the thirst of 4 legged friends as well as two!
