The Pandora, Pollokshields, Glasgow

Pandora pub is now a supermarket called Locavore Grocery.

The Pandora is a very large pub taking up 2 shop sections. The interior has lots of tables and lots of columns holding up the upper stories. It is quite difficult to find the bar (Which sits over on the far left) amongst the columns and when the bar is found considering the size of the place the bar is quite small. The restaurateur operator Reo Stakis opened the place in 1962, and was formerly a large double cafe converted into a public bar cocktail bar and lounge. This certainly shows as it still shows a lot of characteristics of being an upmarket café, with its ornate ceiling and various mouldings. It is well worth a visit just for the architecture and ambiance.
