A lovely little cottage styled pub, extended at the rear, which has a nice beer garden. The pub is in white painted brick, with some black paintwork and has a central front entrance flanked by bow windows. The interior has an L-shaped room. As you go through the front entrance the bar/lounge is ahead of you (where the serving bar is) and to the right there is a small dining area. The main area is in red and green walls, with a white ceiling and patterned carpet. There is a Victorian fireplace that has a wallpapered chimney breast. The walls had old photos and pictures of the pub on them. The dining bit is in patterned wallpaper, coffee and cream walls with a white ceiling. There is a tiled fireplace here too. There was no TV that i saw and the music was general and at a decent level. The service was friendly and the place quite packed with locals. I didn't try the food so can't comment on that. Beer; usual tap stuff with three real ales on handpull - Wye Valley HPA, Sharpe's Doombar and Timothy Taylor Landlord - which was decent This is a tidy pub, with a good beer choice that is well kept. I have already returned here - definitely worth a visit
