The Warwickshire Lad, Solihull

Looks like a foody pub, and the dining area supports this impression, but the three small seating / standing areas around the bar counter are sparsely furnished and plainly decorated. However, the rear decking terrace and side beer garden are both well presented. Four real ales on handpump: Doom Bar, Tribute, Wye Valley HPA and the 'house' Pluck It from Silhill (just £2.90).

Country pub and restaurant in plush area but also right next to the station (request stop). Most of the space is given over to eating but there is a small front bar with TV screen and 3 real ales, one of which is produced by a local Shirley brewery for the pub and kept very well. Nice enough pub to e=seek out, but probably an eating place more than eanything else.
