Cottage Of Content, Upper Gornal, Dudley

The Cottage of Content was quite a nice looking pub from the outside. Once inside the pub had a couple of rooms that i noticed,there was a smartish lounge and a more basic bar,i had a drink in the bar and i was happy enough in here. When i visited this pub it was a Mitchells & Butler tied house,there was one real ale on the bar this was M&B mild which was a very nice drink to start my Gornal crawl on. I quite liked this pub and it is a great shame that it has now closed down. Pub visited 14/10/1988

I used go in there in my younger days. Underground pub and best remembered for events in 1974. Gets very cramped and you may experience long waiting service for your order. Definitely not for faint heartened and wheelchairs users. The reason I stopped going there is I grew tired of waiting for my turn and far too cramped.
