An end terrace Georgian styled building, though the front windows have been replaced, in white render, with a patio The interior is an L shape around the bar and is modern, with sofas, comfy chairs, candles on the tables, arty picutes on the walls - things i generally hate. There was a wood floor and the decor was a mix of light green, red and white, with some painted stone. The service was good, indeed, the way the young looking staff dissuaded a drunk from entering the place was well done! the clientele, of course, were not drunks, which is why the staff pointed out that he perhaps would have been better suited elsewhere; they were a general mix. Beer; well tap stuff, with some interesting lagers - indeed i tried the Staropromen and some Japanese one, called Kirin Ichiban (i think!) both of which were fine, especially the Japanese one. I also had a Ubu Purity Gold on handpull - the other choices were the unispiring Bombardier and Black Sheep bitter. Whilst the style of place isn't my cup of tea, i enjoyed my visit due to the chance to try the lagers (though not cheap!) - something i never hardly touch.
