The Cricketers, Leamington Spa

A white rendered cottage style corner pub, with extension at back making it a lot bigger than the photo makes it look, with a patio area. The interior is an L-shaped room around the bar, predominantly in white, with a smaller area further on, in wood panel, where we sat. There were lots of cricket pictures and old photos of the area. The service was fine and the clientele lively locals with a skillful drum beating chap beating a rhythm for what seemed like an Indian stag night, or just a fun time - he just did a couple of tunes if that what you call it - fascinating to watch. Beer; tap stuff, with a good Otter Ale, Timothy Taylor Landlord and an untried slaughterhouse bitter A couple of really good ales and something different on the night made this a decent stop off. I would like to pop in again.
