Prince of Wales, Reigate

The Prince of Wales is a Shepherd Neame pub adjacent to Reigate Railway Station. The contemporary interior is clean, but I thought it was a bit sterile. My visit was on a recent Monday evening so I wasn’t surprised to only see a handful of locals. The usual Shepherd Neame draught was in attendance alongside six hand pumps. Two of these were unused leaving Spitfire, Kent’s Best, Whitstable Bay and Master Brew as the ale options. The main bar area is at the front of the pub where high tables and chairs can be found. Behind the bar are another two seating areas and to the right rear is an outside seating area. I didn’t see any upcoming events advertised and I didn’t see any distractions such as a television or gaming machine, but there was some background music playing. This pub’s location dictates that I will probably visit again.
