The Swan Inn, Godalming

We stayed here for three nights and would recomend it. It's a very modern, gastropubby type place, but the drinks were good (a very nice pint of TEA), the staff were friendly and helpful and there was a good choice on the menu. The food's not cheap (£10 for ham egg and chips) but this is an affluent area and it was very good, thick slices of ham, lovely chips plus two eggs! They could have done with more cider (Strongbow on draft and Magners in bottles) but it's probably par for the course in this area. Well worth dropping in.
