Thyme at the Tavern, Chertsey

Probably the best pub in Chertsey! Friday night is music night and is the place to be seen. Nigel, the barman, is an absolute gem. A traditional barman and full of witty banter. He seems to have the gauge of everyone and welcomes newcomers such as myself with equal joy as his regulars. Fullers Pride and some fantastic Windsor and Eton Knight of the Garter, a new brew to me. Nigel took the time to give me a brief history of the brewery and even invited me on a pub trip to the brewers. I will be back, and can only say support this pub, it really is what pubs are all about!
