Old Bull's Head, Doncaster

The Paris gate is a square open plan pub with a bar on the rear wall where standard draught products can be purchased. The seating is minimal with some sofas and a high table by the entrance. There is a pool table, test your strength boxing machine and a flight of stairs to the left lead up to a balcony area that has a snooker table, not something you see every day in a pub. There are also a couple of plasma screens that were showing Premier League football via BT Sport. There are a few Doncaster FC flags around the pub and it was busy during my recent Saturday afternoon visit. The weekend of my visit they played on the Friday night so I think that the young boisterous crowd may usually be at the match on a Saturday afternoon. I found the guy behind the bar to be very friendly, but this isn’t a pub that I will be rushing back to.
