Bull in the Barne, Shrewsbury

This pub is a bit of a walk from the centre of town but is well worth it to sample on of the Salopian ales available, which totalled four on our visit. Nothing outstanding inside this pub but what it may lack in furnishings it more than makes up with it's friendly locals. Unusually there are two dartboards in this pub. The ales we tried were in very good condition.

This place was bouncing when I visited with football on the telly, plus it was dominoes night. A proper local, I suspect I was the only person in the pub that wasn't from the immediate area. Very friendly though. Has four handpumps but only three were on. I don't know if this is actually a Salopian pub but the beers were Salopian Shropshire Gold, Golden Thread and Oracle. Had a pint of the Oracle which was excellent. It's a nice looking pub in the middle of a terrace, but it was so busy that it was difficult to see much of the inside. It's a very good pub.
