Blue Boar, Abingdon

An old stone building with a rough cast rendered front, to the right is a venerable low ceilinged old pub with a tiled fireplace and beams, to the right at a higher level a modernised section, home to screens, machines and music. The little old bar has a big screen as well and a twig shrine by the fireplace. The neat old counter carries two pulls, cider on one and Brakspears Oxford Gold on the other , not a bad drink and a welcome change from the awful Morland's Original which is the default beer in Abingdon. There are two pub signs within the pub but none on the bracket outside. It has a beer garden at the back.
