The Lion Inn, Nottingham

The Lion Inn is a back street pub that was situated quite close to the now closed Shipstones brewery. When i first went in this pub it had a few small rooms that were fairly basic but nice enough to have a drink in,the pub used to be an Home Ales tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Home bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Home mild. This pub is still up and running and it has been altered quite a lot inside,there is now one large L shaped room and there is a very good choice of real ales on the bar,the pub also hosts live bands quite often. Despite the Batemans signs outside this pub is not a Batemans tied house, it is owned by the Pub People company. This pub is quite close to the Horse and Groom and wilkinson street tram stop.
