The Buck Inn, Pickering

Very surprised the landlord gets anything other than rave reviews, one of the friendliest welcomes you will get in a pub. He took over 'our local' in 2011 and turned it around from a dying village pub to a warm friendly place to visit with good beer a nd good food. If he refused you entry, he would have had a good reason. Ps. Try the new Rudgate beers they have. Mmmm...

Been to this pub many times before and really like it. We go only once or twice a year as we are not locals. Last year had a great time there on new years eve. Very disappointed this year that the new proprieter refused to honour our new years eve dinner telephone reservation for 6 people plus dog because he deemed my dog too big. We were therefore left in the extremely awkward position of having nowhere to dine at short notice.A very unfriendly welcome and a poor attitude in an otherwise excellent pub.
