Oddfellows Arms, Northallerton

The Oddfellows may well have an address on the High Street, but it is tucked away in a village-like location alongside the parish church of Northallerton. We were welcomed in on our Sunday evening visit and chose to sit in the window watching the comings and goings both inside and out. On the real ale front, they were having problems with a Citra beer that would probably have been my choice. Instead, I chose the North Riding Mosaic Pale, which was a very satisfactory substitute. The other ale was Copper Dragon Golden Pippin. A card game was in full swing towards the rear of the pub, with the friendly locals enjoying themselves. Bar staff were friendly and professional. Probably the second best pub we visited in Northallerton.
