The Bowling Green, Wells Town, Wells-Next-The-Sea

Last visited in November 2023, I can vouch for the quality of both food and beer. The pub is really food led, being very popular for dinners during the holiday season, and those who just want a drink use the are just in front of the bar. The 3 ales on offer were the almost ubiquitous Wherry along with Greene King Abbot and Rocking Rudolph.

After my recent visit to the area and this pub, I thought it about time I did an update Beer remains good Food remains good Service remains good Rating remains 7/10

Great little pub. We have been here many times. Not the easiest to find, but well worth looking for. Woodforde's Nelsons Revenge on a hand pump, very nice indeed, in every respect. The food is good, too. Try the ham. It is proper ham off the bone, not the reconstituted elastoplast you get from the supermarkets.
