when this pub closed last year I assumed the inconspicuous location and poor reputation of the pub had finally finished it off. However, the pub was refurbished and despite being covered in scaffolding and looking like a crumbling mess outside, it is now open. With only two regulars at the bar on a Saturday afternoon I just can’t see a future for this pub and am amazed that Star seem to be investing in it. Nice friendly people have taken it on though, so do pop in and support them if you’re in the area.

This, now shabby, pub doesn't really offer much reason to go. Two rather dull rooms with the one to your left up a few small steps. The beer is usually poor and dull. In winter be wary of a calor gas heater that's usually plonked in the middle of the bar room.
