The Bricklayer, Tottenham, N17

First time back in post pandemic and also not on a match day, to find that the Bricklayers has been spruced up in the last year or so. The plethora of scarves and flags have been removed and put in the outside courtyard section, and the décor has been given a makeover with light battleship grey being extensively used on the walls. There is still plenty of footballing memorabilia on the walls and especially the elevated section opposite the bar, in the form of framed historic photos throughout the years, and the net result is a much smarter pub, especially on non-match days, when the clientele couldn’t give a monkeys about football. Sadly the drinks offerings have not been improved in the meantime and its still fizz only with Beavertown Neck Oil being the most exciting thing available.

Just up from whl the pub retains it’s tiled exterior. Interior festooned in fitba scarfs,flags and memorabilia. Standard draught selection.
