Usually 6 beers on and in good condition.Nice outside area.Decent pub.

One of my fave pubs on the south bank - service with a smile every time - no matter joe busy they are!

Nicholson's pub as described below. Real ale and food served. The pub has an outdoor seating are.

This is a functional relatively modern Nicholson's pub situated in the base of an office block close to Southwark Cathedral. A single ground floor room with the bar along one side and a full length row of windows opposite. An upstairs dining room is advertised but I didn't take a look. Trademark wooden floor, reclaimed old oak beams and posts, some exposed brickwork and decor including framed river scenes. The usual Nicholson's blurb suggests that this is a historic pub but certainly not in this incarnation so I assume it is a replacement. Seating is mixed with traditional through the centre and a row of high tables along the run of windows. There is extensive further seating outside where there is an additional small keg only bar. Beers on the handpumps were Nicholson's Pale Ale (brewed by St Austell), Hopdaemon Green Daemon, Thwaites Wainwright, Robinson's Globe Hopping plus the usual Pride and Doom Bar. Beer quality was ok and the service fine if functional. A reasonable place for a pint but there are many better pubs not too far away.

Not much I could add too whats been said already. I did not like this Pub too much myself as it was far too noisy & modern it seems to be aimed at the younger crowed The Pint I had was drinkable but not the best I had that night. Its OK for a quick Pint but I would not go out my way to visit again.

This is a small, single room Nicholson's pub, just a short walk from London Bridge station, near Southwark Cathedral. The interior is typical Nicholson’s, with lots of dark wood and a mixture of comfortable seating. It felt a bit bland to be honest, with little of interest to comment on, but there was a decent crowd in there on a Saturday afternoon, including a number of hardy souls braving the cold temperatures on the large outdoor patio area. The bar offered London Pride, Thwaites Wainwright, Sharp's Doom Bar, TT Landlord and something from Copper Dragon (£3.25). I tried the Copper Dragon and Thwaites and found neither of them to be in great condition. As well as the standard lager and cider options, they were also serving mulled wine and cider in the run up to the festive period. The staff were fast and efficient in their service and kept the place nice and tidy. A poster on the wall caught my attention by advertising an upcoming meet the brewer event, but unfortunately it didn't specify which brewery was to be represented. Not one of the best Nicholson's pubs that I've visited, but still fairly pleasant and certainly a convenient option given its location, but there are a great many other pubs in the area that I would prefer to spend my time in.

Been past this pub numerous times but our first visit was only a few days ago. Good to see 5 ales on although the Sharps Doom Bar went off as we were served.The ales we had were in top notch condition. There is an outside seating area which can be hired for barbeques in the Summer. Will definitely visit again.
