Marston’s EPA, Bombardier, London Pride and Pedigree were the ales on handpump – the latter excellent value at £2.45 a pint. This is a bogstandard pubco pub in the Wetherspoons and Punch mould. The food available featured the usual sort of pub grub offerings at standard London pubco prices, with the glossy menu containing helpful photographs for those of us who don’t know what a burger and chips or steak pie looks like. There are TV screens all over the place; furnishings are normal chairs, dark varnished rectangular tables, and dark brown plastic covered banquettes. The beer’s cheap, but otherwise this one isn’t anything special.
