Former Wetherspoons, now under the aegis of McMullens, the Hertford brewery.

Not the largest of Wetherspoon's and usually busy, but a reasonable selection of beers and usually well-kept. A reliable place for a good pint at reasonable prices compared to some in the vicinity.

"Lord Moon of the Mall" - quite a nice pub really. Different. Very high ceiling (as John Gray points out, below) plenty of eating tables, but quite often ALL full..! And there's quite often a few people waiting at the bar for drinks, It's a popular pub! The food actually isn't that great, the usual micro-wave fair that you get in most Wetherspoons, okay, edible, I guess but perhaps not quite the 4star meal you, or millions of tourists might like in the very centre of London! (There are plenty of better eateries around)! But have a drink, and revel in the location. This is LONDON, baby! :o) Actually, I think I prefer the slightly smaller pub opposite (...The Clarence) which I would revisit when in the area. See which you prefer...! ;o)

Better than average central London Wetherspoon,s.Nice gentlemans club style.Liked the vaulted ceiling as you enter.Fest on so tried a couple of the foreign collaborations. Wadworth /Og ipa was good but expensive for this pub chain.

There's not much I can add to previous reviews. I turned up here at around 19:00 on an August Saturday evening, probably not the best time to visit as it was packed with tourists and various other people. The beer selection was not as good as it could be as there were still quite a few festival ciders on. I had a Brewster's Calamity Jane (£3.15) which was in good condition. It's a handy place for the Prime Minister or the Chancellor Of The Exchequer to sneak out for a crafty one.

It's a big 'spoons; what more do you need to know? It offers the usual range, albeit at 50p - £1.00 more than you may have expected. I find the tables and chairs packed in, grid fashion, do little to add to a relaxed ambience. On the whole, though, it serves its purpose well enough. Worth a visit if you're watching the pennies, but I tend not to stay for long, preferring the more 'pubby' feel of the Harp nearby.
