The Colonies, SW1

I thought this was an excellent pub and having had some rather ordinally pints on the way from Victoria to Westminster was delighted to find the beer here was superb, in fact as good as if not better than the Buckingham close by. The pub is a great contrast to the others nearby, the bar is to the right as you walk in & theres bare wood boards with a small carpeted raised area. They were getting ready for the world cup coverage, so there is a an eliment of sports here, but they had music playing whilst I was there. Soft benches & chairs & stools dotted around, it had friendly service on my visit. Smoking area is tucked out the back out of the way. 3 real ales, I don't know how this didn't make the Good Beer Guide compared to some of the others in the area. Very nice London boozer
