The Cavendish, Marylebone, W1

This place is a small well kept Sam Smiths pub that has a traditional feel, although there is a Gaggia coffee machine on the bar that does look rather out of place. There were only three other customers on my Monday night visit and the lightening was very dim so it was a little depressing, especially as there was no TV or background music, but I suppose that some people do like pubs this way. I did spot a sign advertising a dartboard upstairs, but I didn’t check it out as I had left my arrows at home. The barmaid was very friendly, but there are better SS pubs in the area with cask ale.
