The Nags Head, Great Missenden

Completely up itself gastro affair typical of the area. It claims to be a fifteenth-century building but you'd be pushed to tell. It's essentially a restaurant though if you're lucky you might find a table they haven't relaid after the previous diners left. Otherwise, like us, you're banished to the pleasant garden Food wise it does nothing for me, nothing remotely edible on the menu - Lamb Shoulder Pie sounds particularly disgusting - but we chased down a packet of cheese and onion with a drink of Missenden Pale Ale in perfect condition. Points added for beer quality - but go on a sunny day.
