The Lamb, Bloomsbury, WC1

Yep an unspoiled pub.Thank god Young,s no longer brew their own beer as it means they have guest beers. Tonight Sharps -lambs end and Hackney -pacific pale in good order. Definitely a quality pub.

As mentioned by others, fortunately this remains a fairly well preserved Victorian boozer and worth a visit for the very good interior alone, especially the etched glass screens on the island bar. But the fact that this Young’s pub also has a decent guest ale policy is an additional bonus. Was certainly being well utilised on the last Friday before Christmas and it was a squeeze to get in and then to get close to the bar. Fortunately it was worth the effort because as well as three or four Young’s ales, Redemption Brewery Bloomsbury and Urban Dusk and Portobello White were on the pumps and the Urban Dusk was in fine form. A very good pub and I will certainly look this one up again

Interesting old pub, with split level rear, around a central bar. Nice wood on the walls and lots of old fashioned portraits and pictures. Tartan carpet, window cill seating at the front and padded bences around. Altogether a really nice feel and has 6 well kept real ales, including Sambrooks.

The Lamb, a beautifully preserved and important Grade II listed Victorian pub still has the etched glass snob screens in place above the bar (see my photos above) and where the bar is curved, the snob screens actually have curved etched glass panels. These are set at around head height, and can be swivelled in order to allow drinkers to maintain a degree of anonymity. They are set above a narrow etched glass screen with a small clearance below. To the rear of the pub, where the original partitioning is still evident, are fine examples of etched glass and smart leather banquettes line walls on either side of the pub. Good welcome and efficient service (although this was early afternoon and there was only one other customer). Good range of ales, which were very well kept.
