Golden Lion, Ormskirk

an indifferent town centre pub. it’s not bad as such but not the most interesting place you’ll ever have a drink in. The decor is bland and generic but there are still a couple of drinking areas as well as a raised area which the owners seem to have tried and failed to devote to dining - table numbers but no menus anywhere. Three real ales which were Black Sheep, Tetleys Cask and some posh rugby nonsense themed beer from Greene King.

Nice pub well woth a visit it was Saturday mid afternoon was very busy

The Golden Lion is a large stone built spacious pub situated in a prime position close to the main shopping street,the bus station and only a short stroll to the train station.The pub looks quite smart since it's recent refurb with open plan rooms to either side of the door plus and an ample sized raised area straight ahead beyond the bar There were 3 handpumps on the go during my Tuesday visit and noticed a decent varied food menu with a good range of special offers on.
