The Wishful Thinker, Maidstone

A fleeting mid evening visit on a July Thursday: We used to come here back in the seventies and eighties, but this was the first time in years. A large car park, and some sort of conservatory by the front door, mainly laid up for dining.An L shaped bar serving all areas of the pub. A couple of real ales on the bar, Harvey’s and one from Box Steam, in fair nick. Friendly welcome.

£10 for two and a half pints of ale & a lemonade. You're paying for the posh surroundings. Paying too much, perhaps?
