The Guildhall, Folkestone

The Guildhall is a small, one-bar traditional town pub close to the town centre. It is characterised by its friendly, welcoming atmosphere, high beer standards (a GBG regular) and generally bright feel. It does good wholesome, no-nonsense food at decent prices. Four ales on, I enjoyed a superb pint of Bitter and Twisted, well kept and served at the right temperature. Another essential part of a town crawl, or somewhere to spend a pleasant evening in convivial company, this is a pub I always try to visit when in town.

Four ales on. Whilst clearly a “locals pub”, you don't feel unwelcome in there. The only thing I would say against the place is that it is only the second-best pub in Folkestone.
