The Railway Tavern, Bromley

Always a decent-looking pub, with its part-tiled countryfied wedge-shaped exterior directly facing the town's North station, but now much more inviting inside than it once was following the Antic acquisition in 2014. Usual (as in unusual) selection of eclectic furniture and decor in the various seating / dining areas around the bar and in the side room. Better beer selection too these days, with Deuchars IPA, Rev James, Tribute, Ghost Ship and Volden Pale (£3.70) available from five of seven handpumps.

The Railway is a nice looking pub with a tiled lower half,the pub is very handy for Bromley North station when it is open. Once inside there is a single irregular shaped room with the bar facing,there is bench seating running down the right side,the left side has normal tables and chairs,there is a strange looking separate area within the main room which is almost like a small room,this room had normal tables and chairs. There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of New World Pale Ale which was quite a nice drink,but i dont know who brews this beer,the other beers were Butcombe Bitter,St Austell Tribute and Adnams Ghost Ship. There was a TV showing the England v Italy rugby game. Food is available all day up till 10pm. Pub visited 14/2/2015
