The Forest Of Bere, Waterlooville

Good old traditional pub Run by a friendly couple. Good food.

This is the only real pub left in Denmead, very reasonable prices, excellent real ales served in a traditioanl atmosphere. All this and a great curry house built in!! Just a few points: The last reviewer must have been in a different pub! The Forest has never had a lunchtime 'suited crowd', just local regulars having a drink! The reviewer before that seems to be a prolific reviewer (208 entries!!). His name is familiar as well - he used to run a crap pub - The Mead End!! Oh yes, the photo is a good ten years out of date as well!

This pub used to be a favourite for the lunchtime suited crowd but has sadly declined in the last year and lost some of it's reputation. Having said that, the recently opened curry restaurant above the pub is very handy on a Friday night and is actually quite good!
