The George, Alton

This pub has a good range of ales. However on or visit the pub was not particularly busy early evening but virtually all the tables were reserved an hwen we asked if we could sit at one that was not inuse with a reserved time a over an hour away we were told that we couldnt as the guests might arrive early, so we had to sit in a row along the bar. Very much a restuarant than a traditional pub nowadays and the ales were generally all of similar type with the exception of the Adnams broadside, which was well kept. The wine appears to be the main drink theme in here with 20 plus bottles lined up along the back of the bar with a number below each one.
