The Railway Inn, Tewkesbury

The village of Ripple is not the kind of place that could support a station these days. But the name of the pub and the street that it's in, along with old photos inside confirm that it did indeed have a station at one time or another. The pub has 2 or 3 rooms inside, along with a nice patio area for outdoor drinking to the front. The young bar staff were friendly and chatty, so much so that the barman almost forgot to charge me for our drinks, which he only did after prompting. The chef also appeared towards the end of our rather brief visit. I have a feeling he was also the landlord. Wye Valley Butty Bach is the regular beer. Ledbury Gold was a guest. There is a car park to the rear, reaching by a seemingly never ending driveway to the right-hand side of the building.
