Opened in 1969 by Bass Charrington as the Periscope, this pub underwent a refurbishment in 2005 under the ownership of Punch Taverns and changed its name to the Island Tavern. It has been closed since 2009 and currently looks a forlorn sight. It seem... [more>] |

Just back after a 36mile round trip, food as usual a big hit, I like the way nothings to much trouble for any of the staff and what a treat we had a play with the icecream machine. I'll just have to wait till the next time, spot on guys |
