Very routine hotel bar, with the expected anonymous corporate furniture and decor. No real ale on offer, and just John Smith's, Foster's and Kronenbourg 1664 on the keg taps, so I opted for the bottled 'Newcastle' Brown Ale instead. |

Basic estate-type pub on the eastern edge of the town centre. Irregular in shape, which helps to break up the space a bit, as do the couple of slightly-raised areas. Plainly furnished, but there are a few local interest pictures on the walls. Domi... [more>] |
