Rather surprised at the number of options available in Bowness. I have only ever driven through it on the way to Ambleside before. There is lots of work to do... on another day. Before midday, the options are less and this is an 11am opener. Much b... [more>]

A pleasant little bar and kitchen, opening at 11am every day with food available from noon. I popped in for a coffee before my 11:47 train. There's no cask beer, but four keg taps offer a choice of lagers, a cider and Wainwright keg version.
