I was mildly surprised to encounter a true locals pub on the busy harbour front in Brixham. The Crown & Anchor offers sandwiches and hot drinks, but no hot food. There's a lager-led selection on the bar, with Madri and Korev prominent. 2 ales are ava... [more>]

Fortunately, the Queens Arms was open ahead of the advertised 4 o'clock. Heading straight for the bar, I was able to peruse the clips for the dozen or more ciders available here, as well as at least half a dozen ales. The Salcombe I chose was in top ... [more>]
